This spicy tuna stuffed avocado recipe is a quick and easy low-carb snack or light meal. You can have it ready in about 10 minutes!
This is one of those recipes that you can really play with. I didn’t want to go too fancy or complicated, and I used ingredients already in my fridge. If you don’t have fresh chives, sub with red or normal onion. Also, feel free to adjust the mayo/grainy mustard/salt/pepper/lime juice as needed, and you could always add in ingredients like chopped celery or tomatoes if you feel like it. Or whatever’s in your fridge!
I make this type of recipe when I’m home alone, have avocados that I don’t want to go bad, or when I just can’t be bothered to cook, so there’s really no wrong way of doing it. 🙂 This stuffed avocado with tuna is also a great thing to eat when it’s too hot to cook.

How to make tuna stuffed avocado (overview):
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
Add the tuna and other ingredients to a bowl and gently mix until combined. I leave the sriracha out of the mix because I like to drizzle it on after, but feel free to mix it in if you wish. Spoon the tuna salad into the avocado halves. Drizzle sriracha over top and then eat ’em with a small spoon. That’s it!
If you don’t want to eat these by themselves, I suggest serving them with some nice fresh bread (sourdough yum) or a small salad. Or soup on chillier days. If you do that, these can easily feed two people.

This is amazing. I tweaked it a lil bit tho. I omitted the lime juice and included cut up cherry tomatoes. I also spooned out some of the avocado and mixed it with the tuna and then spooned it all back in. Can’t wait to play with this some more. Thank u!
I am so happy you liked it! 🙂
Sounds easy and tasty. Your carb count will be on the Siracha and mustard bottles…that’s about all. Avocados and olive oil mayo are both very low carb and contain healthy mono-unsaturated fats (as opposed to corn, canola, and safflower that contain concentrated omega 6).
I was wondering how many carbs are in this recipe? I read through and didn’t see it listed but I really do want to try this. It looks delicious.
Hi Michelle! I’m not a trained nutritionist so I don’t feel comfortable supplying that kind of info in case I get it wrong. I know that’s the annoying answer, but if you have a nutrition calculator you trust, plug the values in of the exact ingredients you use, and that’ll give you a pretty good indication of what the carbs value is.
This is my kind of lunch for sure! Love that spicy kick!
Thanks so much, Lindsay!
