Why you’ll love it

A little secret: as a recipe creator, sometimes all I want is the most basic dinner possible on non-cooking days. I make this easy naan pizza recipe on the regular, and you can count the number of ingredients on one hand! It’s simple, cheesy, and a low-effort meal.

Naan makes a fantastic pre-made pizza dough. It’s a soft flatbread with deliciously charred edges, so it’s awesome for homemade pizza. You can grab it at any grocery store. This naan bread pizza is totally customizable with your favorite toppings, and it’s kid friendly!

What you’ll need

  • Naan – find this south Asian flatbread near the pita in the bakery aisle. It’s the perfect thickness and texture for homemade pizza.
  • Pizza sauce – use your fave tomato-based pizza sauce. I like DeLallo and Rao’s.
  • Cheese – we’re using shredded mozzarella
  • Pepperoni – a classic pizza topping

  • I love to buy roasted garlic naan. It’s an easy way to up the flavor!
  • Depending on your oven and how crispy you want the crust, you may need to adjust the cooking time.

Tools for this recipe

Check out Natasha’s favorite kitchen essentials, gadgets, and cookware!

  • A cute little 1/4 size baking sheet is perfect for an individual pizza, or you can fit up to 4 of them on a half size baking sheet. Here’s a baking sheet set with both sizes.
  • I recommend these silicone oven mitts.
  • Slice the fresh tomatoes with a quality chef’s knife.

Substitutions and variations

  • The topping possibilities are virtually endless for naan pizzas! Throw on some sliced black olives or even some pineapple chunks if that’s your thing. Or swap the pepperoni for ham or more veggies.
  • Add some crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Swap the cheese for another easy-melting variety if you wish.

Leftovers and storage

  • I recommend eating it right away, but you could refrigerate for a day or two and then reheat in your air fryer. Try 350F until warmed through, checking often.
  • I wouldn’t freeze leftovers due to the dairy, and it may get soggy.
